Persian Empire Master Plan

This Diverse and longstanding company wanted a little piece of the country to expand their alcohol beverage company, so the purchased a challenging site on the edge of Peterborough. The master plan will create a beautiful site for their new manufacturing facility, with orchards, vines, meadows and herbs, and of course a stunning view over the landscape. The site is extremely hilly so finding a flat area to build within the zoning constraints was challenging. Then working with the remaining slope VELD architect designed cropping rows, alternating plots of vines with plots of orchard trees to help with erosion. Using keyline design and stormwater management swales the water run-off can be controlled to naturally irrigate the rows. VELD architects help balance the zoning, building code, and site to create a cost-effective solution to the site.
