The Owner came to us for some simple advice. Not having built before they were feeling frustrated by the process of dealing with various trades suppliers and contacts. VELD architect provided a third party review of the best options for them to create their pavilion. We helped educate and helped them make good decisions for their project. We also coordinated many of their contacts (engineer, RONA, products, Permits, City, planners, etc.) and gave them one place to go to get answers and feedback.
The pavilion is quite simple and was to be in line with the existing barn on the property and integrate into the blueberry fields. It has a small prep kitchen (a larger kitchen is in the main barn) a washroom, a coat room, and storage. The pavilion also has a wrap-around curtain that can control the sun, glare and heat for their guests during their events.
